What’s it like?

The gun goes on the 2nd Saturday in Summer. December 9 in 2023.

You battle 3 surf breaks, 3 tough swims and 3 flat out runs over 7km before finishing on the softest sand in Sydney for a thigh burning 400m home straight. The 3 Points Challenge (“3PC”) demands fitness focus as you countdown to the race.

What’s your commitment?

The 3 Points Challenge is a tough race so preparation counts. Our whole timetable with 27 sessions will be available and some of the most important sessions are on a Saturday each week from October 7 until the race on Saturday December 9.

First there are 3 flat-water sessions at Balmoral from October 7 to October 21. They start with an hour long 6am swim session followed by a 7am run and stretch session at Balmoral.

That helps get you ready for the next 6 Saturdays at Curl Curl Beach with Expert Tuition and Water Safety in the Surf provided by North Curl Curl Surf Club. That 7am surf session is followed by an 8am swim/run session working around the ocean pools in the area. The 7am North Curl Curl Back-to-Back sessions are on: October 28, November 4,11,18 & 25 and December 2.

On December 3 we have our 3 Swims Challenge which is an handicapped event starting in Balmoral Baths with a run over to Chowder Bay and a swim there, followed by a final swim at Balmoral before finishing with a 1km sand run.

But wait, that is not all. From October 7, we will be adding 3 Points Challenge Preparation focused sessions to our timetable, and not just on a Saturday. We will be adding opportunities in the water as separate sessions at Balmoral and Freshwater and also as extension opportunities before or after existing sessions. You can see them all in the timetable. Regular session costs will apply and for existing clients, if you have sessions to make up you can use those sessions to do them!

The Saturday Sessions at North Curl Curl will be $540 for 6 sessions from Oct 28 to December 2.

If you can’t commit to all 6 the casual rate will be $110 per 2 hour session at North Curl Curl. There is a session size limit so casual session may or may not be available!
