Fun + Fitness = Confidence

Fun, Fitness, Confidence, Self-Belief. Sometimes you have to go old school to get it. We offer a training program for kids to get ready for this 2km obstacle event. You get 45 minutes to do as many laps as you can and we will get you kids ready to run, climb, slide and swing their way through the course. Watch our team in action!

Kids Spartan- May 4, 2019. Training Start MARCH 24.

Balance, Walk, Crawl, Jump and Run. You will be ready to take on the Spartans Kids Event this year. It's 20 obstacles in 2km and you try to do as many laps as you can in 45 minutes.

There are two age divisions. 3-7 years old and 8-14 years old. We will get you ready to roll, stronger than before and more confident than ever. 

This program is absolutely superb for driving your fitness for other sports and developing a can do attitude.

You will make sure you can run the whole 2km, climb ropes, learn to do chin ups, work through our own obstacle courses, improve your balance and learn how to do exercises correctly.

Put all that together and you will be standing on the start line ready to go.

What a great chance for kids to learn about giving their best while building fitness foundations that will last forever.

Training starts on Sunday 24 March at Balmoral. Here's what the program involves:

  • Training twice per week for 45 minutes starting on Sunday March 24 at your choice of:

    • Sunday 7.30-8.15am @ Balmoral

    • Tuesday 7am-7.45am @ North Sydney

    • Wednesday at 7-7.45am @ Balmoral

  • Doing some daily fitness homework

  • Racing on Saturday 4 May in the Kids Spartan

Fees for Training Twice per week- $240

Fees for Training Once Per Week- $135

If you miss one of your sessions you can come to another one to make it up.

Race Entry

Race entry is not included in the program cost. You will need to handle your own race entry.

Get ready for all your sports

Kids Super Sports Squads

Fitness, strength and confidence. They’re the goals of the Kids Super Sports Squads.

Kids learn to do a push-up properly, climb a rope, do chin-ups and believe they can run fast and long enough to do well in the school cross country or make the school soccer team.

They learn what it feels like to be fit and strong and have the confidence to want to take things on.

Kids Super Sports Squads help so many kids who haven’t been exposed to structured teams or fitness programs. Maybe they’ve just been happy at the skate park on their scooter but want to get involved in the school basketball or AFL team. Perhaps they’ve been inspired by dreams of being a ninja warrior. Whatever they’d like to do the Super Sports Squad helps them lay the fitness foundation they need to succeed and have lots of fun doing it.

Training is on:

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays at North Sydney from 7-7.45am meeting at the Netball courts in Ridge Street; and

  • Wednesdays at Balmoral Oval from 7-7.45am.

  • Sessions are $22 for one session per week or $40 for two sessions per week or $55 for three per week.

Through out the year we will also add an obstacle training focus to prepare for the Kids Spartan Race which is just fantastic with an extra session at Balmoral Beach on a Sunday from 7.30am-8.15am. Check out the details of the Kids Spartan Preparation Program here.
